Dublin Hotel or nearby Resort?

Looking for a glorious place to land in Dublin or near Dublin after flying from the States. Price isn't an object due to the corporate card (what a treat!) so we'd love something that is decadent and a decent restaurant would be a wonderful plus, thanks!

I would suggest The Ritz Carlton in Powerscourt in Wicklow just south of Dublin, complete luxury with a spa and fitness centre set in beautiful scenery. In the city centre I would suggest The Shelbourne Hotel on St. Stephen's Green. The hotel has gone through a major refurbishment and has been restored to its former glory.I would not recommend The Gresham, Its an ok hotel but is merely a faded facade of its former glory, apart from this the first poster gives good info on the city centre. The Gresham in O'Connell street is right in the very centre of the city; an easy walk to the most famous shops and theatres and Trinity Collage where the Book of Kells is displayed along with the Book of Ulster and what is purported to be the harp of Brian Barrou. It is also a short walk from Bewley's coffee shop on Grafton street..where the likes of the leaders of the Easter rebellion used to meet and make plans...and which is also just down the street from the oldest working fish and chip shop in the world. Bewley's and the collage library are must-sees..so is the post office, opposite the hotel, where the Easter rebellion began and ended..the British shelled it from the harbour but it was later restored to all its former glory..and it is an astonishing building for a Post office!
As for the Gresham itself, it was established in 1817 by Thomas Gresham as a luxury hotel and is mentioned in the novels and short stories of James Joyce; it retains all its antique grandeur but it has been modernised in every possible way; has an excellent restaurant and is outrageously expensive..although it is possible to book early and get large discounts at certain times of year..using the site I have included below or any of several others. Dublin has a good number of luxurious hotels and its fair share of famous restaurants but if you do not stay at the Gresham when you have the chance to do so then you will regret it later when you see what you have missed. I have eaten there and one of my sisters stayed there for a couple of nights and could not praise it highly enough.
