Which suburb near Dublin Ireland is a great place to live?

Ill be moving to the area for college, and i don't have a whole lot of money. I still want to live close to the city vented because ill be going to college there, but i still like a slightly more country feel sometimes, and its been suggested for me to find a nice suburb. That's where you're going to help me:) I'm just looking for a small tiny apartment or place for rent thats cheap. Hell if its up to code and i wont die from living there ill take it I'm not picky. So what do you suggest? Which suburb?

Dublin is a pretty big city - it has a low density but a large spatial area. Do you mean you'll be going to college in the city centre? Trinity or somewhere nearby?

No rent in Dublin is cheap these days. But you will get better value for money if you try, as an example, Phibsboro, Rathmines, Marino. Look on www.daft.ie to get an idea, you can search by college and 'city centre', 'south Dublin city' and other parameters like that there.

Depends on where your college is.... look at the bus route - the further out it is, the cheaper it will be.
