Weekend in Dublin in February?

We are a group of 4 who want to stay in Dublin in Feburary 2007, we would like a central hotel and a cheap flight from Heathrow.
Any suggrstions?
We would like a good company that could take us from Heathrow to Dublin to hotel (via taxi) at a good price!

We just got back from a trip to Dublin and stayed at the Leeson Bridge Guest Househttp://www.leesonbridgehouse.ie It was really lovely, about 5 minutes walk from St Stephen's Green and about 10 minutes walk from Temple Bar and the river, which is about as central as you can get on a budget in Dublin, as far I as I could tell. We got a really cheap deal on the room from http://www.laterooms.com which also has loads of other options listed by price and distance from the centre.

If there are 4 of you and cost is your main concern you might be able to stay in a hostel and get your own private room. A lot of them offer ensuite facilities as well. Check what's available on:
http://www.youth-hostels-in.com
It isn't all youth hostels, a lot of cheap hotels and guest houses are on there too, and you can search by availability.

If you want to know if a place you're thinking of is any good or might be a cr-phole, check out
http://www.tripadvisor.com
for reviews of hotels from other travellers.

I've always found that Skyscanner http://www.skyscanner.net is great for a summary of flight prices from all of the budget airlines, and http://www.cheapflights.co.uk is also a good summary site. These both allow you to compare flight prices from lots of different airlines and travel agents.

The Aircoach http://www.aircoach.ie is an excellent luxury coach which costs 7euros, (or 12 euros return) and goes from directly outside the arrivals section of Dublin airport on a circuit around all the main hotels in Dublin every 15 minutes. It's much cheaper than a taxi and just as easy and comfortable.

Have a great time - Dublin is a fantastic city and I'm sure you'll have a riot.

If  you are looking for good value accommodation central Dublin, you could try one of the Jury's Inn hotels, which are good quality and centrally located.

If you are looking for even more of a budget you could try a Hostel in Dudlin, including the award winning Four Courts Hostel, people have the wrong idea about hostels and they are very different from peoples perceptions, I am a huge traveler and use them all the time.

For a flight, why not try another airport other then Heathrow, ty Stanstead where you can use Ryanair, if not you can ty bmi or British Airways.

Try www.visitdublin.ie.
Also www.dublinpubguide.com/ which also has Pub guides etc.

There ate plenty of Taxi's at the airport that will tak you where ever you need to go. There is also a bus service to the city centre.
www.ryanair.com light will work out cheaper the earlier you book it.
Enjoy your trip here
